1. About these terms
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") apply to all quotes, orders and work carried out by Orange Powder Coat ("we", "us", "our") of 34 Lords Place, Orange NSW 2800, and to your use of our website www.orangepowdercoat.com. By requesting a quote, booking work with us or using this website you agree to these Terms.
2. Quotes and pricing
- Quotes are provided in good faith based on the information, photos and items you supply. A quote is valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise.
- If an item differs from what was described (for example additional rust, old coatings, damage, hidden repairs or extra parts) we may need to revise the price or timeframe before proceeding. We will contact you before doing so.
- Prices are in Australian dollars and include GST unless stated otherwise.
3. Preparation, blasting and coating
- Powder coating requires clean, bare metal. Unless agreed otherwise, we will sandblast or otherwise prepare items before coating and this is included in the quote where stated.
- Sandblasting removes paint, rust and scale but cannot repair pitting, corrosion damage, thin metal or existing defects. Deep pitting may remain visible after coating.
- We will do our best to match colours from standard powder coat colour charts. Colour, gloss and texture can vary slightly between batches and manufacturers and may differ from screen or printed samples.
- Items with fillers, body filler, lead, plastics, rubber, timber, glass, bearings, seals or heat-sensitive components may not be suitable for the powder coating oven. Please tell us about any such parts before work begins. We are not responsible for damage to components that were not disclosed to us.
4. Your items
- You confirm that you own the items or have permission to have them treated.
- Please remove all parts, fittings, bearings, rubber, wiring and loose items before delivery unless we have agreed to do this for you.
- We take reasonable care of your items while they are with us. However, items are left at your own risk and we recommend you keep your own insurance for high-value items.
- Uncollected items: items not collected within 60 days of being notified they are ready may be sold or disposed of to recover our costs, after we have made reasonable attempts to contact you.
5. Timeframes
Turnaround times are estimates only. We will keep you informed of any delays caused by workload, supply of powders, weather or circumstances outside our control. We are not liable for any loss caused by a delay.
6. Payment
- Payment is due on collection or as stated on your invoice. We may request a deposit before commencing larger or custom-colour jobs.
- We may retain items until payment has been received in full.
- Overdue accounts may incur reasonable recovery costs.
7. Warranty and consumer guarantees
- Our work comes with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and to have the work redone or refunded if it is not of acceptable quality.
- In addition, we will rectify any defect in our workmanship (such as poor adhesion, runs, or missed areas) that is reported to us within 12 months of collection, provided the item has been used, installed and cared for correctly.
- The warranty does not cover damage caused by impact, abrasion, chemicals, incorrect installation, heat beyond the coating's rating, corrosion from untreated areas or trapped moisture, or normal wear and tear, fading or chalking from prolonged UV exposure.
- Please inspect your items on collection and let us know about any concerns as soon as possible.
8. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim relating to our work or this website is limited to the cost of re-performing the work or refunding the amount paid for it. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of income or loss of use of an item.
9. Website content
- The content on this website is provided for general information only and may change without notice.
- All logos, photos, text and designs on this website belong to Orange Powder Coat (or are used with permission) and may not be copied without our written consent.
- We are not responsible for the content of external websites we link to.
10. Privacy
Personal information you provide to us is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, available on this website.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any dispute will be subject to the courts of that state.
